In Thai, the word for food and rice are the same: Khao. It's understandable since rice is the most important part of most meals. Jay Fai was awarded the prestigious Michelin star for her tiny shophouse that sells scorching portions of prawn crab and noodles, one of the only street food stalls ever to receive the accreditation.
